Mysterium IV Judea
During Theophilus’s quest to interview eyewitnesses to the life of Jesus before it is too late, he reaches Judea, regarded by many as the Holy Land. Judea beckons over the mystic mirror of the Sea of Galilee or Kinnereth, “Harmony.” On his peregrinations, Theophilus’s expectations run high. Magdala, supposedly the home of Mary Magdalene. Capernaum, the site of more miracles by Jesus than anywhere else. Tiberias, the last town controlled by Jews in their devastated Holy Land -- sure to be the repository of much Christian lore. Of course, there awaits Nazareth -- unless the warnings of a certain mysterious angel prove true. Theophilus follows in the footsteps of Jesus through the frightful Desert of the Temptation, along the awesome Dead Sea, to the site of the Passion which will be the most revelatory site of all: the most sacred terrain in all the world, Jerusalem.
