Love and Transcendence

US$13.50

Rev. Hyde, Ph.D., CCH, RSHom(NA) and Founder and Director of LivingPeaceNow.org describes the catalyst for her collection of poems as a way to journal through the days after her wife died.

All losses bring grief.  Whether we are losing a cherished dream, admitting that we can no longer practice a beloved occupation or pastime, parting ways with a life partner, experiencing the death of a dear companion or spouse, or as we age starting to process our own inevitable departure from earthly attachments, we grieve. It is no use running away from our feelings. They are a gift and a doorway to new and deeper love and insight. In embracing each opportunity for transformation, we find that what we thought was lost has only changed its appearance.  Love never disappears, it just deepens.

In these poems, Rosemary shares with readers her own path to discovering continued love on the other side of loss. She invites you, too, to revise your own sad stories of loss as you revisit the tumult of rebalancing. Surrendering to this experience will lead you to transformation, to integration, to greater strength and deeper peace. May you be happy, healthy, and fulfilled as you walk this path of Love.

About the Author

As Rosemary integrated losing Ellen and moved forward, she found her life transformed.  She had always felt called to become an ordained spiritual leader and took advantage of the opportunity to attend seminary and become ordained as an interfaith/ interspiritual minister. While in seminary, she joyfully married Nancy, whom she had met after Ellen’s transition.  Upon being ordained in 2012, Rosemary was invited to become co-spiritual leader of the Unity spiritual center she had been attending. In 2013, she completed her fourth unit of Clinical Pastoral Education and became certified as a chaplain and pastoral counselor. As a result, she has worked with many groups and individuals dealing with loss, and she has trained and supported communities of older adults wishing to age in place as closely bonded and supportive friends.  She is the Founder and Director of LivingPeaceNow.org.

Rosemary is a resident of Durham, NC and is available for interviews, discussion groups, book signing events, and would be honored to speak with any local civic service group, religious organization, or business about grief, peace, and transcendence.
